The team at Experience Invest offer advice and assistance on residential property investment to our clients, and we’ve been doing this for over ten years. However, 2015 is a year looking like no other for residential property gains.
The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), recently revealed that they expect house prices to rise by 6% in 2015. This is an upward revision of their previous estimates. RICS say that they’ve seen firm growth across all areas of the UK and that they expect demand to continue to outstrip supply.
Office for National Statistics
The RICS figures come from analysis of the market and predictions made by the Office for National Statistics. RICS say that the rise in prices is expected to continue into the next year also. Demand for rental properties continues to increase, and RICS also predict a rise in rental prices over the next 3 months.
RICS said that many landlords are now struggling to replace stock that they sold in 2014 and new buyers are cueing up to get on the property ladder only to be hampered by a lack of affordable housing for first time buyers.
